The Dialogue turned into a big diplomatic fiasco.

As co-chair did VB fumble?

With LHL, VB and other ministers fumbling their way through, no wonder SG's international stature is at an all time low.

Indonesia has open slapped SG's face. Unless LHL and his cronies wake up, it is a matter of time before other countries like Philippines will also insult SG.

Will SG's stature go down further?

It is such arrogance that alienates VB from singaporeans. Instead od apologising that his ministry had made a mistake by miscalculating the expected budget.

He shd be humble and promise that it will not happen again.

Instead he taunted singaporeans by saying he would have done it again. Pride and arrogance will lead to his downfall.

I guess humility is not in his vocabulary

That speaks of VB's lack of credibility and lack of leadership ability.

That shows that LHL has poor judgement to make VB a minister. having pap qualifications does not mean he is a good leader

Yes? I have been following the news on the meeting and was puzzled at the silence of the co-chair of the meeting ie VB.
Somewhat unusual for someone who clarifying on what happened on behalf of Asean. :confused:

VB has done enough damage to SG and Singaporeans. He shd do SG a favour, quit politics and go back to be an eye doctor. Politics and leadership are not his strengths

Basically VB did a terrible job as Co-Chair. He lacks leadership qualities and doesnt have the stature. Not only did he embarrass himself, he embarrassed Singapore and ASEAN. The damage is terrible although the pap is trying to downplay his fumble.

It is a diplomatic fiasco affecting, China, ASEAN, the USA. This is one result of LHL's lack of foresight. If VB is what pap can best offer, Singaporeans shd do the right thing and vote capable Singaporeans like Tambyah, Daniel Goh, Leon , etc

This is the PAP without LKY. I think they are going to fumble on and on because they lack big ideas and can't find the right people. Singaporeans better start looking for people who can do better.
