Any bros been to their store at City Sq? Was told they have an even bigger place at Chai Chee Techno Park.

Was at their City Sq location this afternoon. Very impressive range of sportswear and equipment. More importantly, decent prices. Staff told me they don't advertise or sponsor teams/individuals and therefore, able to keep their costs down.

Look like no frills emporium so maybe explain the decent prices!

For those who only buy branded names, don't bother to visit because all the stuff at Decathlon are not branded.

However if you are looking for reasonably priced sports gear this is the first place you should check out:smile:

Here is the website https://www.decathlon.sg/

Decathlon is a well known and respected French company that operates a hypermarket model for sports goods. Many of their stuff are house brands and of great value. They are found in Europe and have many outlets in the UK.

before the end of their (expensive) leases, especially in sg where rental is also high in outlier locations, they will close shop if curiosity crowds buy only token items and margins are low. if similar stores in the u.s. pay low rent at outlet malls, have large but dwindling customer base yet struggle to survive due to online competition, this concept in sg is a lost cause before they can chalk 3 years of operation. serious sinkie sports shoppers at the siglap and katong areas go to attas, high end boutique stores. they are not going to decathlon to get a bike for sgd500 even though it's affordable. several new boutique bike shops just opened on upper east coast road.

Was in France two weeks ago and chanced upon a Decathlon store there, it carries it's own brands, but surprisingly also carried Nike, Saucony, Asics, adidas. However, i think those models are old models and not so new... took some pics..
