This fellow is doing Singapore a favour as he definitely not adding anymore GDP but wasting resources.
In Pasir Ris New Town, an elderly 77 year old man died of his head injuries after falling off a HDB lift which was misaligned and stopped 20 cm above ground level.
The man had entered the lift with his back facing the door while on his mobility scooter. Without realising that the lift stopped 20 cm higher than usual, as the elderly man reversed out of the lift, he fell backwards and hit the back of his head causing a skull fracture and bleeding in the brain.
He was rushed to the hospital but 15 hours later died of his injuries.
When queried, Pasir Ris Punggol Town Council chairman said investigations into the incident was ongoing and they were checking on the lift's past maintenance record.

Alamak not the first time it has malfunctioned in this manner. Already one to two years and somebody even tripped before. What kind of maintenance standard is this? Really must wait for serious mishaps before any attention is given on residents' complaints?

Maybe, the old fart's head was crushed by the lift and he did not reverse out but reverse in and when lift opened, he started to move and pull brake when saw lift floating above ground but momentum flipped him forward and landed his head on the lift edge and his head got crushed?

The wheelchair manufacturer should be taken to court. It should have designed a back rest to have a head rest high enough to protect his head from such common incidents or old folks should wear helmets when riding such flippy vehicles.
The son didn't write a letter to the chief of SCDF for the ambulance timely arrival??
