It appears that PT is becoming a casualty of collateral damage and as well a result of the character gaffe. Feel sorry of this guy. Not sure if it was tension of the campaign or plain tiredness but PT's confusing explanation about character not being important did not help him. I understand that profession wise he continues to be well regarded and has won awards as a teacher but his political capital would have taken a hit. Dhamanhuri and Sadasivam speeches is now a topic of discussion in regard to PT's prior knowledge of it.

The latest press conference is going to make this worse as PT is in the CEC.

This is why the formation of a 3rd party is so important. There are good people out there but they need a good party to help them.

I aLways think of PT as a big wasted talent. A person who speaks and carry himself well and is highly respected yet becomes unelectable because he joined the wrong party and follow the wrong mentor. Sdp does benefit when a person of PT standing joins them but it also mean his individual political standing was being dragged down by a controversy party like sdp. So it a 2 way traffic and a win-lose arrangement.

He would be a winnable candidate if he joins WP but his far left liberal leaning thinking is his Achilles heels as far as politics is concern

Nay. Singaporeans do not need more politicians from academia. Note how ALL former PAP MPs from academia were quietly eased out. We need good old fashioned roll up the sleeves and get it done doers who can do things for residents. Opposition will not form government any time in near future anyway. I do not understand why you folks fail to see the writing on the wall. If you fail to meet the expectations of the larger voting block, you can jolly well forget about retaining Aljunied GRC, let alone a third party or more opposition MPs in parliament.

PT is no idiot unlike u. He is not so easily hoodwinked by Dr Chee or by anyone. Write him off at yr own peril. He will have the last laugh.

Heard that many HSK former schoolmates wanting to meet him for a get-together this July has changed alignment to join CSS class gathering. Met one he even asked who's HSK??? R u on of those?
