Malays are too nice to foreigners. But its a one way relationship. The others will take advantage and screw the malays up. The Orang Laut were fishermen and pirates! There's nothing nice being a pirate. The ancestors of Malays are indeed small indigenous tribes, Indians, Chinese and negritoes for papua. Modern Malays are mostly from mixed marriages between Indians and Chinese. This was long before the Barbaric Arabs came this way.

The fact is modern Malays today will not be able to trace their ancestry unless through DNA. Only those indigenous people who still live in tribes have not had inter marriages.

Malays are not nice. The Indonesians are the most thieving people I know. Most of the Malays we see in Singapore and Malaysia came from Indonesia. Thank goodness the Malays have learned well from the Chinese on hard work and honesty.

Chee won't. Singapore has been in the longest bull run in history, from the early 1960s till today, with minor speed bumps like some recessions here and there. But the trend is still a continued bull run. As long as that is maintained, Chee will remain a loser.

The conservatives and labour parties take turns to win elections because neither party can sustain the country's success long enough to cement their grip on power. They do well for a few years, then mess things up big time and the opposition party wins, and the cycle repeats itself.

Singapore is different. It is a story of success for nearly 60 consecutive years under a single party that has improved Singapore from year to year. Chee will have no chance as majority of the voters don't want to rock the boat.

Albert was an advisor. He dishes out advice but takes no personal responsibility if it goes wrong. While Ah Gong and PAP implemented his policies, they had to take full responsibility at the polls or even in court if it went awry. Hence, credit for Singapore's success largely goes to Ah Gong and PAP, not to some UN advisor who can skip town on the next flight if the economic policies goes wrong and there is an upheaval.
