Does PAP Know Singapore's Vulnerabilities?

PAP said SG can accommodate 6.9m and even get its doggie Liu Thai Ker to arrogantly say that SG can comfortably house 10m people.

Housing is the easy part.

How abt healthcare? Will SG have enough doctors, nurses, medical personnel, hospital beds to care for 6.9m?

How abt transportation? Is our transportation infrastructure able to carry 6.9m?

How abt water? Will SG have enough water to sustain a population of 6.9m?

How abt food? where are we gg to get food if there is a global food crisis?

Is LHL and pap negligent to want to bring in more foreigners without doing a comprehensive sustainability study?.

The PAP is a political party. It is not their priority to run the nation. That duty is delegated to the various insititutions, their duty is to collect taxes, be popular, and remain in control of parliament. With the help of the public, they've managed these very well. Majulah!

You have inadvertently (or maybe consciously?) raised the most vital point.

What you see as vulnerabilities, The PAP sees as opportunities. Of course, by increasing the population to 10 million, there will be much strain on the water, transportation, housing, healthcare, etc. When there are more people needing the limited resources you have mentioned, what happens? The price will increase. The PAP will make sure of that. they will charge for the increase in demand, and they own everything. The transportation companies, the hospitals, power and water suppliers, etc. You can definitely make more profits from 10 million people then you can from 5.5 million. Its simple dollar and sense. Sinkies are just collateral damage in this push for money. They better wake up their idea soon.

before that happens two things will happen,the economy will reach the equilibrium and sinkies will reach their breaking points and start moving enmass to johor or thailand.or black markets and smuggling routes will flourish between johor and singapore,why sell ur goods in ur own country when u can make 10 times the profit in singapore?i will buy my own van,drive everyday to johor to pick up 600 pieces of KFC and marrybrown chicken for 1800 ringgit or 600 SGD,make and sell my own two piece meal chicken rice and sell in Singapore for $10 a plate.....profit generated per day will be $2400.of course the chicken rice packets will be sold off the back of my van to avoid paying rent.labour used will be malaysian.

only the rich can afford to eat caviar,drink wine and dine 3 meals a day at restaurant.....the poor will have to dig in garbage for food,dine on the rats in bukit batok.much like the pinoys in the slums of manila,for transportation u can doggy paddle on a rubber dinghy in the ponding and once every 50 year floods.
