its true melbourne is more international than sinkieland,u can find lots of europeans and real asians like koreans japs taiwanese malaysians there,but its still 80 percent overrun by PRC trash and shitskins.......frankly i do not want to be associated with such trash nor do i like such trash....the only foreigners i recognise and accept are those from first world countries......these hordes of third world garbage can jolly well fuck off.....i feel sorry for australia sometimes for having their culture and country destroyed by mass immigration.

In today's context whr the economy is faltering, protectionism n nationalism is on rise. In EU the foreigners r the first to be laid off. It's unique that it's the reverse here.

The guy has been writing columns more like page fillers for Today for a number of years. I found his articles to be shallow and certainly pro PAP from day 1. Our Redbean has taken him to task over an article some years back. He will complain about the West and their poor practices in nearly every article. Why else would Today carry these articles? He also wrote an article some years back where he said why he will return to Singapore.

This guy is not a aspiring migrant nor has expressed any interest in migrating. There are many Singaporeans who work overseas, posted overseas, would like to have overseas work experience and but consider Singapore home.

This guy is a dumb fuck who cannot distinguish between domestic and foreign policies. If Europe were to not take in (or take in less) refugees, would he see the government's domestic differently? Singapore opened its leg widely for any Tom, Dick and Harry a couple of years ago and create problems that we still see today. Worse than that, it's was for the shallow reason of economic gains (GDP) versus a morally superior reason that European countries are opening its doors to refugees.

Don't even think of addressing issues in his article. Its all nonsense. It meant to fill the page of our soccer and trivia tabloid. He is a CFA and you should see what he writes about finance and the economy.

It's his life, his choice where he wants to be. There is nothing wrong with Singapore, except that it is a small teeny-little island. Limited land space. Apart from this, all the modern amenities are available in Singapore, a relatively high standard of living, healthcare, education. And of course the most tok kong char kwey teow, lasksa, and chicken rice in the world (except perhaps Penang and Malacca). Besides for this bloke, his other family members are here, so are his old friends. He will feel at home here. Just got to put up with the crowdedness and congestion.
