The flaws of Singapore’s education system

The PAP education system is an inevitable extension of the party’s long term survival and agendas. For Singaporeans to accept any claims about neutrality is absurdly irrational and folly.

From power concentration, structure, pedagogy, administration to curriculum and writing of texts, they have to be tightly and intimately interwoven to fulfill their desire to control and manipulate the minds of the people for the last 50 years.

Plenty to talk about in this aspects. Few can be who and what they are after 12-16 years of molding and manipulations. And if you are strong enough to hold your own in schools, the NS term for the young men will break you down till you know yourself no more. Instead, you will be in the box grudgingly doing the same thing as others. You fall in.

This is an authoritarian government obsessed with fear that the people will one day topple them, that the people will find out and be convinced of their agenda to own this country and sell it off later, that the people will see through their fake democracy and the ‘whiteness’ of the leadership and the party.

To manage their own fears they create and turn fears onto the people. The people carry their fears , amplify them and socialise them to the next generation so much so that we are always displaying and spouting their propaganda of fears. Fear that we can’t live without the PAP, fear that we are a little Isreal amongst the Muslims (of course you know who taught them one), fear that your children won’t make it in this meritocracy system (meant for their children and yours as eunuchs and intelligent slaves for them).

I would say that the problem with Singapore education system is that it produces students that know how to score but leave them ill prepared for the business world.

Students need to understand that real world don't care what you score. They care more about value you provide.

I am of the believe that the NS term contributes little to the total subjugation of the citizen to the PAP propaganda. I say this because females do not serve NS and are hence not subject to this further breakdown as claimed. Yet females are not the leading voices for political change and they are not the major agitators either. Instead, they fully support the PAP and are well and truly brainwashed by them. This leads me to conclude its the education system that has done most of the damage.

It is not in the schools and neither is it in NS. If you have done NS, you know that the favourite pastime is abusing the Govt and anyone who talks about PAP will be laughed at and thought a dill. The conditioning is by our laws, our parliament, our policies, our regulations and the way that they are unilaterally applied with no little or no consultation. Except for the PA and PAP porlumpars most people grudgingly vote for the PAP as they made sure that any opposition is demonised and where they cannot, they hobble them.

In many ways we have to take our hats off to the resident of Potong Pasir that refused to relent for 22 years despite the cost to their homes and the offer of porkbarrel bribes.

very few flaws when you see some of the best and brightest sinkies working in sillycon valley. met up with dozens of sinkies for a talk, and they all have great tech careers in the valley, thanks to the solid foundational education they receive in sg. all of them further their studies in the u.s., graduate with distinction, and easily get job offers plus h1-b sponsorships from their recruiters. on behalf of them, i wish to thank the sg education system and the pap for a job well done. these sinkie winners are not only contributing to the bottom line of their respective valley companies but also the overall progress of mankind and betterment of the planet, with sg included, via social media and a connected world.

contact sg is trying very hard to get these sinkie valleyers to return to sg to jumpstart the "smart nation" initiative but looks like none are heeding the plea. this implies that sg doesn't have the native brain trust and critical mass to get the initiative going. there's also a push by edb to attract valley companies to open up offices and r&d centers in sg, and they have succeeded in getting a few to commit. google is one of them. incubation of valley r&d will be in and around ntu and the polytechnics. sg poly students in tech are still some of the best in the world when it cums to value and talent for valley companies to recruit. cheap and good are the keys - ai pi ai chi ai tua liap ni.

Unfortunately, I've learned that fast, cheap, easy, you can only pick 2 out of 3 of these.

by the way, i summarized a 4-hour meeting and chit chat with valley companies, contact sg, edb, and a bunch of sinkie valley workers into a short paragraph. it's packed with proof that sg education is admired and heralded by sillycon valley.

Dear Shittyshitty:

There is nothing that wrong with Sg's education system. It has been debated upon (second language, streaming), and academically, it is on par with others the rest of the world, and the society relies too much on academic performance. If there is anything that holds individuals back, it is the limits in the society itself. Individually, anyone can excel in his/her field to the best of his/her ability (athletics, business, intellectual, arts) but the society does impose certain limits on what s/he is able to do. For example, it one writes a piece of music and sells it, How big is the market here (especially when most of the local songs are about patriotism to the country's commercial success, what about songs/poetry on people's hardships, life's challenges, love, etc.). So to overcome this limit, what next? Go out an sell to the world? How many peoples out there will be willing to listen and be captivated (or And locals here do not give support to local artistes! Time to relook at the way Singaporeans view their own. Allow the local buggers to express themselves. And please do not think that the world will fall in love with your chicken-rice, char kwey teow and laksa. Diabetes is a growing health problem!

Cheers!

There is no doubt pappies will fall one day but if pappies down, would the oppie parties be able to govern sinapo better than pappies? This the fear of locals who are natives of the soil, not those imported foreign shits who can always balek kampong when the chips are down.

There is nothing that wrong with Sg's education system.

Pappies awarded scholarships to foreign students like giving out candies. When the foreign students run road without serving their bonds, pappies spent money to chase after them like looking for a needle in the haystack.

Dumb pappies and their dumb education system ...

So if they "run road" they beat the system? What's wrong with that? Its called being smart! But if they do that, they cannot return to Peesai without being arrested and likely go to jail! It's not worth it. What bond do they have to serve? If it is NS, just serve it. It's nothing!

Cheers!
