North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Thursday ordered his country to be ready to use nuclear weapons.*
SEOUL, March 4 (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered his country to be ready to use its nuclear weapons at any time and to turn its military posture to "pre-emptive attack" mode in the face of growing threats from its enemies, official media said on Friday.

The comments carried by official KCNA news agency marked a further escalation of tension on the Korean peninsula after the U.N. Security Council imposed harsh new sanctions against the isolated state for its nuclear program.

Kim made the comments as he supervised the exercise of newly developed multiple rocket launchers, KCNA reported. It did not mention the date of the drills but said the new weapons had South Korea within range.

Kim said North Korea should "bolster up (its) nuclear force both in quality and quantity" and stressed "the need to get the nuclear warheads deployed for national defense always on standby so as to be fired any moment," KCNA quoted him as saying. "Now is the time for us to convert our mode of military counteraction toward the enemies into an preemptive attack one in every aspect."

North Korea has previously threatened pre-emptive attacks on its enemies including South Korea, Japan and the United States. Military experts doubt it has developed the capability to fire a long-range missile with a miniaturized warhead to deliver a nuclear weapon as far as the United States yet.

North Korea on Thursday launched several projectiles off its coast into the sea that flew up to 150 kilometers (90 miles), South Korea's defense ministry said, an apparent response to new sanctions imposed by the United Nations this week.

The U.N. Security Council passed a unanimous resolution on Wednesday dramatically expanding sanctions on North Korea following its fourth nuclear test on Jan. 6 and a long-range rocket launch on Feb. 7.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Thursday repeated a stern warning against the North to abandon its nuclear ambitions and said should would work to "end tyranny" by the North's leader.

Last month, Seoul suspended the operation of a jointly run factory project with North Korea that had been the rivals' last remaining venue for regular interaction. (Editing by Lincoln Feast)

so why dont anybody do it?they have been playing this game for more than 20 years.liberate north korea like they liberate iraq.millions are dieing but nobody wants to do anything,korea has weapons of mass destructions and reports of sophistication centrifuge facilities has been leaking out but nobody wants to do anything,lets face it they are all pussies and cowards,oh and i forgot north korea has no oil.


kim jong il regime will never approve of full capitalism,only limited capitalism in special districts,they can never release the reins too much,they need the system to prop up the regime just like PAP need our system to keep themselves in power.welfare of the peasants be damned.at the same time kim jong un needs the money,in order to keep pyongyang and the system of elitism running,and the grease the palms of his supporters and generals.so he gets it from whatever means he can besides free market full blown capitalism.

Fact is - they can't. Fatso is too well guarded. And apparently, the South Koreans have other priorities - like working on their economy, and raising their people's standard f living. North Korea has powerful military friends as well, namely PRC and Russia. However, the South Koreans people do not love their cousins to the north and many are willing to fight them. Between the two Koreas, no need to guess which country is preferable to live in. They (the South) has a vibrant economy, exciting entertainment in arts, and medical facilities that are envied even by advanced Western Democracies. They are exporting their culture worldwide! How much of this is being done by the Northeners?

That is absolutely warped thinking!!! Let his subjects perch him on the pedestal and offer him that award. That is if they can find enough food to feed themselves first! Bloody fatso! Any K-pop bands from North Korea that is known? Any car? Any consumer appliance? What about sporting goods? Nada!!! He can't even export his hairstyle outside of North Korea! ever since china opened the doors to cheap technology north korea has been advancing rapidly,their nuclear refinery and production capabilities are no longer non existent like in the 80s and 90s and is now a significant threat......they have hidden laboratories with over 3000 centrifuges producing weapons grade uranium.

Extremely opposite to NK ways is e. g. Brunei Sultan.

Entirely one single Islamic Imperial Ruler, exploited away all the available oil and gas within the regime and lifetime of a Sultan.
