Following McDermott, Technip and Saipem, Subsea 7 will relocate its regional headquarters by third quarter 2016

Subsea 7 is understood to be closing its office in Singapore and will move its Asian base to Kuala Lumpur (KL) in an effort to trim its operating costs, reports say.

Less than 10 staff will be asked to move to the new location, reports say, and others will be made redundant so local staff can be hired in Malaysia, according to reports from Strategic Offshore Research.

Not only Foreign Companies moving out, Sinkies that can afford also hve relocated to Foreign Land. Sinkie land for Familee and tbeir Cronies to milk their Slaves.

The costs here keep on increasing up & up, & up,..... I really think LHL has finally killed the birds that lays the golden eggs. i.e. Sporeans.

Why do they care abt Sinkies, the Familee and Cronies can easily retire any part on earth if they wish. Familee's wealth can last for few generation, in the meantime milk the Cow Sinkies till they are dry.

Maersk Line shifts Asia HQ to Hong Kong

As part of Maersk Line’s massive restructuring it is switching its Asia headquarters from Singapore to Hong Kong. Its two Asia regions, Asia Pacific and North Asia, have become one.

Last November, Maersk Line, the world’s largest container carrier, outlined huge spending cuts including slashing its global headcount by at least 4,000 and nixing 240,000 teu of newbuild options.

Lars Mikael Jensen, who has headed up Maersk Line’s Asia Pacific operations from Singapore since 2014, returns to Copenhagen to take up a management position within the operations department.

The combined Asia Pacific Region – with regional head office in Hong Kong – will be headed by Robbert van Trooijen, a former P&O Nedlloyd employee.

A spokesperson for Maersk Line told Splash the changes were “in order to create a leaner, simpler and more focused commercial organisation”.

Singapore’s increasing costs have been cited in polls carried by this title as a very serious concern for foreign shipowners in the city-state. Maersk is Singapore’s largest shipowner in deadweight terms.

In Spore they don't need to pay taxes or worry about the law because they control the police & kangeroos. They can also continue milking Spore & Sporeans.

Once Sporeans wake up & start demanding answers is the time they will run road. However with Sporeans so brainwashed, LHL & Ho Ching may escape the law. They may even get state funerals:eek:
