After GE2011, PAP went full force to conquer the online and offline spaces. The result is not what they expected.
With so much goodies thrown in, old fart, and SG50 propaganda, WP still retained Aljunied GRC and Hougang.

It was a small victory, Punggol East and increase in the percentage of votes, given the amount of resources used.

Like in any battle, if an army launches a full force attack and did not even managed to captured their target,
then it only shows that the army is not capable enough.

This give the Oppositions a chance to observe the capabilities of the PAP machinery at full force.

Thereafter formulate strategies to counter the PAP.

Frankly, during GE2015 the Opposition movement wasn't even at full swing online and offline.
I guess Opposition movement unlike to PAP opportunist, respected 2015 as a year the last leaf of the Old Guards fell and also it was the 50th Anniversary.

So now is 2016, its time for the Opposition Movement to regroup and forge a even more stronger comeback.

get to know more opposition members and other like-minded people with the same predicament.

Live within your means and volunteer in opposition events.
That would help take away your depressive mood.

Grassroots organizing party? Offer catering services and private bus transportation. The list is endless. Why mingle with freeloading opposition parties who want things from you for free?

You just confirmed what I said. Opposition members cannot hope to win election if they are not active during non GE period. WP had to keep walking the ground during non GE period to become the most promising opposition party they are now today.

2015GE was a fluke win for PAP even the PAP was surprised.

The only thing that can bring down a might party like PAP is internal power struggle within the PAP executive.

Or just need LHL to make one fatal mistake like sacking one of his executives which will crack up his party.

All fall of a mighty dynasty started from internal power struggle where their Generals want to perform 三国演义 to rebuild their country.

LHL is a fixer, he would not sack his executives, but would create or lay out the situation for things to happen.
A mastermind behind series of events that would result in the executive being implicated. If LHL can do that to

I also been to the Official SDP launch of their new office, attended to speech and had coffee/tea and some brunch.

the site with news and events.

SDP should also be as active as WP. Maybe Bro Cosmos10 can do the constant updating of SDP news and events here.

For GE2011, when the opposition challenged every ward, it was hailed as a step forward for sinkie politics. A new first.

In GE2015, when the opposition repeated the same GE2011 strategy, it was viewed widely as a disappointment by sinkies.

PAP already marketed post-SG50 as a new chapter, where a strong government is now needed to lead sinkies into uncharted waters as a developed 1st world nation. PAP contested every ward to show that it is prepared to lead. WP, since its breakthrough in Aljunied GRC, has shown close to zero improvement since then. WP contested in roughly the same number of seats and did not even contest PAP for power. Other opposition parties also put up token challenges. PAP was the only party ready to form the government.

It just went downhill for the opposition from there. Sinkies are not going to vote in a fragmented government to lead us into the next chapter of sinkie history.
