Freddy Soon, former Hyflux exec and Spring Singapore deputy CEO, dies at 73

[SINGAPORE] Well-known business leader Freddy Soon has died at the age of 73. Mr Soon was advisor to the group chief executive officer at Singapore-listed water management firm Hyflux, until he retired two years ago.

His daughter Debra Soon, a senior executive at MediaCorp, confirmed that he died this morning - days shy of his 74th birthday on Nov 24 - and that it "was sudden".

He was a nice guy. Worked with him during his days at NPP. I have no derogatory comments about this guy.

He also loved his Karaoke and owned a joint at Upper Thomson Road where he used to belt out hit after hit.
