If you walk around Singapore for 4 days, eating only bananas and water, people pass by take pictures of you, and proclaiming I'M DOING GREAT FOR SINGAPORE! What would you call such a person? Insane.
People are saying that they are proud of Chee Soon Juan's display of insanity,
one of the many instances where retardation is advocated in Singapore. I can see how Chee Soon Juan and these people's effective way in 'making Singapore a better place', translated in this year's election results.

CSJ style of politics is too 'romanticised' and doesn't quite gel with the pragmatic nature of materialistic SINKIES! CSJ still doesn't quite get it! SINKIES only want MORE and MORE GOODIES, democracy, freedom etc doesn't provide for a full stomach.

One might start to think that CSJ is trying to emulate GANDHI; last time tried glucose fasting, now with his 4 day walk (should have worn only tattered cloth and carrying a staff)

10 years back my son told me CSJ is PAP's best friend...reason being he gave the opposition a bad name with his endless rant.

Since then, he sobered up and knows he has to continue his mission.

Now come 2015 election, I saw his face on TV on the night the election results were announced. He was devastated that Singaporean once again loses their democratic rights and be controlled and manipulated for the next five years by a powerful regime. His expression and feelings are real.

Our media is controlled with press freedom index at the bottom 154th.
Our academia seeing professors giving up their post. ( 3 out of 4 professors from Yale-Nus left)

It is sad that controls are everywhere and that we live in a miserable controlled environment where creativity and enterprise are stifled.

On that night, his face tells it all. He was sad for Singapore

Looking around, many Singaporeans already have a full stomach, but they still eat because it is Shiok. This is one country where char kwey teow and laksa is more desired than democracy and individual rights and freedoms.

I think the issue is: CSJ does not know it is no big deal walking 140km in 4 days. If only he knows ultramarathoners do that within a day.

It was a problem for CSJ. He's had a knee problem for many years, a legacy of constant distance running in his younger days. It acted up on Day 3, and he was in considerable pain. There were periods when he had difficulty negotiating upslopes, and he finally had to bandage his right knee. When he walked into Hong Lim Green on Sunday afternoon, he was limping quite badly.

For a 53-year-old guy who only swims for exercise because of lousy knees, 140 km in 4 days is quite an achievement
