Thanks to PAP, Singapore today has the strongest military in ASEAN. Our neighbors don't dare to fcuk around with us. If SDP or WP were in charge, our SAF today would be no better than some shitty ceremonial guard like the Vatican Swiss Guard.

One thing that still baffles me, if we are spending so much money on SAF or on our Nation's Defence. Wouldn't it be good to test your commander and Soldiers on the ground for real and feel how they perform in real situation ( Not some Humantarian mission)? That would be a perfect. Then you can justify your 13 Billion dollar Defence budget.

It does not matter who you buy the military weapons from, nor how much we spend on it. We can have more weapons then the US, it will not win us any war. History has shown that a smaller less well equipped army can defeat a larger one due to good leadership. Alexander the Great is a case in point, he mostly fought outnumbered in all the battles that he won. Now picture our specky scholar SAF Generals leading us into combat with all our gleaming new weapons that $13 billion a year can buy. Do you think we can win with them leading the army in war time? These fuckers are not professional soldiers, nor battle hardened war veterans. They are so uncommitted to a soldier's life that they couldn't even bother to go to West Point, or Sandhurst, or St Cyr for their SAF scholarships. Instead they go to Cambridge, Oxford or whatever unis to study engineering, business, etc. Shouldn't they be studying military history, tactics, etc?
