SINGAPORE - A dramatic video capturing an accident involving a van, a motorcycle and a white sports car on Marina Boulevard has gone viral after being uploaded online.

The accident, which happened on Tuesday at around 11.40am, was recorded by the dashboard camera of tipper truck driver Mr Fahil.

Mr Fahil, who only wanted to be known by one name, told The Straits Times that the impact was so great the motorcyclist's helmet flew off.

The rider landed in the middle of the road, said Mr Fahil.

The 26-year-old tipper truck driver said he was on his way to his work site when he witnessed the accident. The video that he took was uploaded on the

Facebook page of his brother, Shahil.

In the video, the grey van speeds from Bayfront Avenue on the left into the junction just as the traffic on Marina Boulevard is moving off on the green light. The van collides with the motorcycle and the sports car, narrowly missing another motorcycle.

The sports car, said to be a McLaren MP4-12C, crashed into a traffic light at the junction as a result of the impact.
