Sylvia Lim actually lost in her constituency to PAP Yeo Guat Kwang by 100 votes. Sylvia is an elected MP, and the voters have decided not to re-elect her as MP for that constituency, it doesn't make sense for her to stay on as MP because the voters' decision has to stand.

Recall that Sylvia Lim had also said during the election campaign period that WP would remove the GRC system because GRCs are "being used to bring in candidates into Parliament under the protection of" a party heavyweight.

"They dilute your vote and dilute your voice," she said.

Her words have come back to haunt her.

Does Sylvia Lim feel that voters' voice has been diluted by her loss? Does it make sense for her to stand as MP in her constituency given her stand on GRC and her loss?

The election results for WP can be said to be disastrous.

In actual fact, out of the 7 seats that they held, they actually lost 3 seats. Punggol East, Sylvia Lim's division and Chen Show Mao's division. If all seats were SMCs, they would have been left with 4. It means they lost almost half the seats they held previously.

But because of the GRC system, Sylvia Lim and CSM have been saved by the 'heavyweights in the GRC'.

Yup. Spot on.

Another point, if CSM lost in his ward to Murali, what's the interpretation? An Indian can beat a Chinese even in Chinese majority Paya Lebar.

Pritam and Mohd Faizal did well. Were they up against Chinese MIW?

But Oppo losers will say a win is still a win. That's like saying if a man penetrate their wife halfway but not fully then it's not adultery!

But this, you have to report to AVA or SPCA...it is not adultery..it is cruelty to animals....especially the 70% animals.

PAP losers said that, not oppo. Get your facts right.

Goodness your delusion is so bad, no wonder your fellow dogs would believe WP was the cause of MRT train breakdowns.

PAP supporters buay kam wan that they did not benefit from the advantage of GRC since they were able to win GRCs by a clear margin so far (except once in 1988 when they lost 1 out of 3 to WP Francis Seow team). The second and only other time this happened end up benefitting the only opposition GRC with WP winning 3 out of 5.

But PAP will still want to keep GRCs because the day will come when the margins everywhere will become very close and they will gain extra seats due to GRC winner-take-all system.

You must be a blur cock. Polling district and boxes are predetermined so you see your neighbours putting in the ballot in the same box as you. From there you know which box for which district lah when you count. So simple you dunno?
