You cannot win a game of votes with the MIWs...

They have all the machinery, the resources, the money at their disposal. The griphold on the land and the minds of the people are vice-like. All the oppo has is talk. As anyone can see, GE2015 is a game that is so lopsided, in football analogy, its like pitting Manchester City or Barcelona against Geylang FC.

The MIW controls everything in Sinkeepoo from media right down to your savings. They gerrymander, engage in pork-barrel politics, bring in new citizens by the planeloads to prop themselves up with no resistance at all. How to win in a game of votes like this? This government can never be toppled in a democratic process because everything, and I mean everything favours them to begin with. Its like walking into a casino hoping to win the house. Don't believe an authoritarian gahment when it says it is putting forth policies to benefit the citizens. The MIW looks out only for itself and they are playing a game where they use Sinkees as pawns to enrich themselves.

Any government that is responsible, upright and has the interest of its citizens in its heart will never hold on to power like the MIWs do. They will welcome change and views of their opponents.

If WP can win Aljunied, GRC, I don't see why the rest cannot. Is uphill task, but no impossible.

That's rubbish because in 2011, there was a huge swing against the PAP because of their poor management of the country. Nobody complained that the rules were lopsided then. In fact everyone heralded social media as being the great equaliser.

Had the poor management continued, the PAP would have lost further ground for exactly the same reason they lost ground in 2011.

The fact that they recouped their losses and then some is down to the fact that they made considerable improvements in many areas. The silent majority recognised this and switched their vote back to the PAP accordingly.

This is the way democracy works. It's the same in NZ. People vote for the party they feel will make life better for them. It doesn't mean they agree with ALL the policies of the party they vote for. It simply means they feel their choice gives them the best odds.

The mindset of MIWs is quite clear, that's part of their dna and mentality, inherited from youknowwho.

Cannot win a game of votes? So play which game?

That will never happen in SG. All the generals are looking forward to getting a cushy ministar or GLC position, where got time for coup? :p

If I recall correctly, not too long ago, a certain WP candidate said something about the military coups in Thailand. :p

The way I see it is there are only two ways that the MIW can topple. One is that there is internal struggle and an implosion within the party. Two, is when people take to the streets. But Sinkees have too much at stake to do the latter. So I expect the MIWs to rule till SG100 and beyond.

To quietly go to the polls and cast your one vote hoping the MIW will be toppled this way will not cut it.

It is not the same, no matrer which side wins to form the govt, no single party in NZ wins a landslide of 70% votes in a first world democracy. A coalition govt consisting of more than one party forms the govt always. Furthermore, there is always proportionate representation where every voter who does not agree with the incumbent is represented in parliament.

Singapore might as well convert to a China style dynasty filled by loyal boot licking courtiers & Eunuchs henceforth.

That's true about the one vote (because of the nature and mentality of the majority of our electorate), but to quietly wait and hope for the internal struggle and implosion will not cut it either, because all the "crew" have a lot to lose by taking a risk and "rocking the boat".

Sinkees only want one thing: How to get things from others. If someone gives, they take without much thought and say: "Heng Arh!" This is the mindset that the MIW has exploited to the fullest. They have mastered the art of giving some and taking all. A little like the devil who will give you what you want in exchange for getting your entire soul.

Its so easy to get the votes of Sinkees, its almost laughable.

In order for an internal struggle within the party to take place, you need an indian chief who thinks different and a leader that is weak. We already have one part of the equation.

If the MIW could get away with what they are using and doing to stupid sinkees anywhere in the world where true democracy rules, there would be a public outcry.

A country that is governed by a party which has been given a clear mandate can always be run far more efficiently than one where a coalition is cobbled together to the extent that the tail wags the dog.

NZ does not progress because the smaller parties hold the large parties to ransom. Building a short stretch of new road takes 20 years because some obscure Maori tribe claims that it runs through their sacred burial grounds. The government capitulates and the project is put on hold because they depend on a couple of Maori Party votes to function in Parliament.

If Singapore ended up in the same situation it would a disaster for the country.

That can happen, but so far it hasn't, simply because of strong leadership at the very top (since LKY started the ball rolling in the 1960s) combined with the COWARDLY NATURE of Sinkies, including those just below the very top.

Yes, as long as the REGULARS in the SPF and SAF remain loyal to the PAP and control the GUNS and TANKS in Singapore.
But if you believe in the "end of the world", all the evil in the world will end one day.

To quietly go to the polls and cast your one vote hoping the MIW will be toppled this way will not cut it.
That has ALWAYS been the case since LKY consolidated his power in the 1960s and 70s.

I believe in a certain amount of fate, and I think Singapore and Singaporeans were/are FATED to be in the situation we're in for the past few decades and possibly for many more years/decades to come. :(

Not everyone will be contented with money sitting down and doing what they do in the gahment. Some will want more, or as in the case of the bayi who left because of "moral" reasons. I don't think we need to wait long for something to happen within the MIW. If you have been following the political landscape here, I think you can spot a few who are potential breakaways...

If the MIW could get away with what they are using and doing to stupid sinkees anywhere in the world where true democracy rules, there would be a public outcry.

There was an outcry in 2011 and they lost considerable support as a result.

If Singapore had slid further downhill and ended up like Malaysia or Pinoyland, the people would vote the PAP out.

However the PAP pulled up their socks and worked harder and they did much better over the following 5 years and have been rewarded by an appreciative electorate.

As far as I can see democracy is live and well. The fear factor is gone. The monopoly on information and news is gone. However the PAP still got a 70% mandate. It shows what a good job they are doing.
