This place has become of cesspool of clones and counter-clones. Objectivity has gone down the toilet and discussion has ground to a halt. The thing it now reflects best is the behaviour of the clown opposition parties who are nothing more than just competing egos that mirror their respective sec-gens.
Horse trading constituencies in the early days of the hustings only showed how stupid they were in trying to cut the biggest piece of the pie even before they mixed the flour. Well done now they are all staring at a piece of burnt pie with not only little filling but rotten filling too.
WP has scraped through, but at such a great price to giving the moderate, middle-class Singaporeans a louder voice.
Then again, WP forgot the rest of Singapore after 2011 by lacking publicity and instead seemed to retreat back to only consolidating their entrenched positions. CSM, with such promise with his global credentials, seemed to be very happy taking the back seat and retiring into obscurity, only maintaining his nice-guy (and ineffective) politician image.
I hope WP will wake up now, but congrats are still order that you have managed to survive Aljunied.
