Lol she is effectively running a scam. Asking for donations but not spending it on her election campaign. Even if she loses deposit, it belongs to the Opposition gong kias who donated!
Not that I am a supporter of HHH....she is not my constituency candidate. But, to be fair, sometimes it is a matter of logistics, available time, etc, and most important, supporters to do the ground work. It is not just a matter of money.
If she loses the deposit, then it is a reflection of her candidacy as a whole and organisational abilities. Let's not conclude a person's character just by merely looking at the election poster.

Personally I think for an independent candidate running on a very tight budget with no party support, I'd prefer she spend less on posters and banners and nice stage backdrops but spend more time meeting residents and preparing her rally speeches, and spend some money on flyers and transport and meals for her helpers.
It's not cheap to run an election campaign in Singapore; the deposit alone is $16,000. A decent campaign will set you back by $100,000 per candidate. How to raise that kind of money in so short a time if you're not wealthy?
