Social media and the internet are great levelers and they are here to stay. They shift back the balance of power to the people. If you do good, it will spread. If you fucked up, it will spread. To the politicians who are frustrated, too bad for you. You can't have the cake and eat it too anymore.

But for the warped PAP politicians who are used to hv fully controlled media, they cant handle fair play and are frustrated that there is a new animal known as social media which can level the playing field.
I wonder who or which is the problem? Is the problem the pap MPs or the great levellers?
You have to be in Pasir Ris Punggol GRC to be able to feel the frustrations of the constituents.
It's like a monkey show for the papigs and we are forced to participate in the monkey show because of this clown called Desmond.
We know Desmond has zero chance and it's precisely because he has no chance he is being picked to "protect" someone else's turf every time GE pops up. And despite being a monkey show, we still have to go through the motion of voting for this clown.
On top of returning the papigs to power each time, we are being insulted by Desmond to take part in the circus. I would rather SDA put 6 pieces of used tampons up for election. I'm sure the opposition votes will cross 40% mark, something that Desmond can only dream. At least it's a monkey show that insults the papigs, not the constituents.
So Desmond, don't just threaten to quit. Just quit ! PRPG GRC welcomes SingFirst and SDP.
Desmond can say that he is frustrated with social media. But does he know that Pasir Ris Punggol GRC voters are frustrated with him and social media is just highlighting how the voters feel. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the problem is the bad politician not social media

At the end of the day, the Pinky Bunch are just a glorified, wealthier and more "palatable" version of the Kim Bunch in North Korea.

The bunch of PAP politicians want everything easy. They still long for that era when invited to be candidate, they sure win. Then they just need to scratch the PM's bum to get a seat in the cabinet. Then life is good for a decade or more.
Now, PAP politician cannot assume that they will be a shoo-in. There is a bit of job insecurity but they still believe they can win with the PAP spending tens of millions on the election. The candidates also get a guarantee of a second chance if they don't make it this time. NTUC and PA jobs are there for them, paying them 6-figure salaries for doing nothing until the next election.
To break this entitlement culture in the top realm of our society, we need to slay the devil which is the PAP.

Unfortunately for them, it is not easy to change an arrogant and condescending mentality overnight. That's why so many of them are now putting on wayang shows in a last-ditched attempt to show how sincere they are to serve.
