Let RUN explain why. Here's two real stories that happened to people around RUN
1. A local employer found that his china worker brought women back to stay every night in their company hostel. He sacked the worker after knowing that the guy threatened to beat up colleagues in the same hostel for exposing him.
2. Employers have to pay a $5000 security deposit for each china worker in case there are unsettled wage disputes or worker gone missing.
In both cases, the china workers backstabbed their local employers. The first claimed to be unfairly dismissed and the second claimed that the boss owed him unpaid OT wages after his contract is about to end. They all pretended to be very poor things and did things like the two wayang jerks in the photo above, eg bring toothbrush to pretend they very poor thing, no place to stay and run away from abuses, etc
If you read local China forums, gurus are there to give such advices. All china workers are eligible for additional payoffs by threatening to use employers for unpaid wages.
The MOM officers are 100% unfair; the officers will behave like hooligans and force employers to give in, otherwise the employers will be blacklisted from hiring more foreign workers. The employers will be forced to give in because it is better than losing their $5000 security deposit for having unsettled case.
The MOM officers behaved like this because they are judged based on the number of case they can close, even if it is unfair. The officers are also subjected to a customer-feedback appraisal by the china workers after the case closed.
