The most popular street in Jogja is Malioboro Street which is just 200m from my hotel, night scene

Full of motorcycles parked on both sides of the road

People like to sit on the floor along the roads for their meals

Was told that fried noodles is very popular in Jogja and was introduced to a roadside stall

There are two ways of cooking - fry dry and wet, since already there might as well try both, the order

Bakmi goreng campur (beehoon and yellow noodle)

Wedang ronde - basically ginger with 汤圆 like our chinese version

Walking back to hotel saw opposite the hotel along "5 foot walkway" full of people on the floor eating fried rice and noodles. Strange ya.

After that Borobudur visit was off to see the devastation of the Mt. Merapi eruption of 2010

To do that one has to rent a 4x4 (with driver of course) near the scene

Taxi fares in Jogja starts at 6650 rupiah or $0.66

Its early morning now so traffic is smooth. On the way to airport.

Journey from downtown to airport is about 9-10km. This trip costs only about $4.50

It's a very small airport so expect to be crowded and chaotic a bit

Also did the touristy thingy eons ago, on a few days road trip from Jak and enroute saw the fantastic rice terraces. Sultan had a harem, according to our guide then:p. Borobodur's awesome, a UNESCO site
