The fucking govt had to do some work PRECISELY because a few opposition were voted in.
If there weren't any opposition voted in at all then they wouldn't even bother to try to tackle anything.

PM Lee years ago made it clear that if there were no opposition, he could focus all his energies on improving Singapore. Now, he has to be distracted with fixing them. As such, I pin the blame of the frequent train breakdowns and foreigners issue squarely on the WP.

Couple Of Points:

1. I'm betting on the latter.

2. Assertions that someone voted opposition all his life and now intends to vote pap are not verifiable, so they can be taken with a pinch of salt. :p

Either this asshole is getting old and soft in the brains, or a pap supporter in disguise.

That reason is widely accepted in the Middle East and South Asia by people and religious authorities who pin the blame of rape on women wearing "sexily".

LHL is useless then. His counterparts in UK, Germany and other developed countries can manage the opposition, the people and have growth higher than sinkapore. And they are paid many times lower.

Agreed.. the disenchantment with PAP in 2011 has turned. Increasingly, more and more opposition supporters are disillusioned at the way the Opps MPs serve the people. They only "come alive" at election times, promising much hope with their grandstanding rally speeches , but really, there are not much they have done to really improve the lives of Singaporeans after they have been elected as MPs. On the other hand, the PAP MPs have listened to the ground since 2011 and put in much efforts to improve policies and solve constituents' issues.

Look at NSP today ... so fragmented within . How could this party serve the people of Singapore ? Sure, they can "parrot " some of the known issues , but what else would you expect them to be able to do more ?
