Thank goodness I am still with Windows 8. Refused the free "upgrade" to Windows 10.
Better switch to Apple in the next change of computer.

If you have a slow connection you won't be too happy about this.
The new Ah Neh CEO of Microsoft doesn't care. It's all about the CLOUD, automatic updates and data mining now.
Some key things to disable if you're using Windows 10:
1) Wifi Sense
2) Advertising ID
3) Quick Access (in your File Explorer)
4) 'Updates from more than one place' (i.e. the 'torrenting' feature.
5) Automatic Windows Updates

Things I encourage you to do, but is entirely up to you:
1) Install Classic Shell
2) Download, install and use a better browser.
3) Put up a wallpaper that's less ugly than the default one in Windows 10.
4) Install less ugly icons. (The ones in Win7 or Win8 were decent.)
5) Launch Windows PowerShell, and type this to remove all the preinstalled Metro crap: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

DO NOT USE A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT
I'm never the 1st to upgrade my PC, Mac OS, & IOS. I prefer stability to having new features at the cost of buggy SW.
I am still using Win 7 & don't intend to upgrade. The only upgrade I am considering is a motherboard replacement & that depends on when the newer PCI express SSD become available at a reasonable price.
