[h=1]PM Lee Hsien Loong wish Malaysia PM Najib stay in power[/h]admin / 7 hours ago August 1, 2015

In a televised interview with government-controlled media Mediacorp Channel 5, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that he wish there is stability with Najib and that he wish the Malaysia government will remain stable due to business ties between the two countries:
“We have very good relations with Malaysia, I personally have very good relations with Prime Minister Najib, so we hope that Malaysia will remain stable, that we will be able to have a Government there which we can do business with and cooperate with, as we have been doing the last few years. When something happens which could cause either a political upset or social or security worries, I think we have to watch very carefully.”

The two Prime Ministers have close relationships and they hold yearly retreat to discuss about matters concerning the two neighbouring countries. In April this year, the two met up over a discussion over the KL-Singapore high speed rail at the Singapore Istana house.

Prime Minister Najib is currently facing corruption allegations from US journalist Wall Street Journal, which published evidences pointing that the Malaysian PM siphoned millions of funds from the sovereign wealth fund company, 1MDB. Coincidentally, a Singapore bank was involved in a series of bank transfers involving the SWF company and PM Najib’s account.
