The date of the coming GE is predicted to be 12 Sept.

The likelihood of this has been increased by today’s announcement by the LTA
that there will be no revision to ERP rates in the Third Quarter.

This date also makes a lot of sense because Lee Hsien Loong would want to
hold the elections as soon as possible because the longer he delays, the more
mistakes and lapses will be thrown up furthering damaging his chances.

In addition, the PAP propaganda machine is now going into overdrive,
with…

1. A free propaganda movie called “1965″ that preys on people’s fears of
chaos and extols the PAP (again!)

2. The biggest propaganda mass display in the form of the SG50 NDP
Parade.

3. Pork barrel galore all conveniently parked under the excuse of
commemorating SG50 and honoring the “Pioneer Generation”.

4. Non-stop eulogies of LKY in a shameless attempt to milk sympathy and
nostalgia votes, with the latest being the LKY musical.
