Residents in Jurong West have been stumped by the mysterious blood-red water flowing in a canal in the neighbourhood on Sunday (July 26).
Worried residents spotted*the 800m stretch of red liquid in the canal between Jurong West St 62 and St 64 around 3pm.

Ms Shahira, who lives at*Blk*601, told Stomp:
"I was going out of the flat to throw rubbish and was shocked to see that the*stretch of canal outside was completely red."
Myanmar-born technician Min Min Dun, 36, told*Shin Min Daily News he was taking his children for a walk when*he came across the scene.
"I don't know if the water quality will be affected," he said.
Shin Min said the water remained bright red at about 7pm yesterday.
Lianhe Wanbao*reported that workers were busy cleaning the affected stretch this morning (July 27).
A PUB spokesman said they were alerted to the incident at about 3.15pm on Sunday (July 26). Workers used sandbags to block the red liquid from spreading to a wider area.
Currently, it is unknown what had caused the water to turn red.
