It's always over women, money and to a lesser extend sickness/health.
They need more jesus in their lives.
Heard gambling is one main cause of suicides. Every gambler wants to believe he is the "gao shou" until he loses heavily and borrows money to gamble more. Finally, he loses his D10 bungalow...

It's not a uniquely Singapore thing. More men than women commit suicide. It's the same in any country.
Suicidal men would just go ahead and do it. Women, on the other hand, tend to cry and moan and threaten suicide, but seldom have the balls to follow through. They crave the attention.
