A pair of 13-year-old twin sisters from Selandar in Jasin have alleged that their father has been making sexual advances towards them at home for the past year.
Unable to tolerate further torment from their 42-year-old father, one of the girls lodged a police report with a relative's help, leading to the man's arrest yesterday.
In her report, the victim alleged that their father, a school security guard, had on nume*rous occasions forced them to massage his naked body when their mother was away.
Their father, she claimed, had threatened to punish them if they told their mother of what was happening.
However, the girl mustered enough cou*rage to tell one of the relatives, who came from out of state to celebrate Hari Raya with them.
On Sunday, the relative helped the twins to lodge a report at the Jasin police station, sta*ting that they could no longer tolerate their father's sexual advances since they turned 12 last year.
A day before, on the second day of Hari Raya, the father had fondled the sisters' breasts and used profanities on them, inclu*ding asking them to measure their private parts, the twins claimed.
Jasin OCPD Deputy Supt Muhd Nur Hishamuddin Hashim, in confirming the arrest, said the case had been referred to the Malacca police headquarters for investigations under Section 354 of the Penal Code.
State Education, Science and Technology and Innovation Committee chairman Datuk Wira Md Yunos Husin said he had instructed the principal of the sisters' school to assist them as they would need counselling following the traumatic experience with their father.
"I have also asked the State Welfare Department to look into the case and see if we can provide a shelter for the sisters until they complete their education," he said.
