Privy Council Should Be Reinstated As Highest Court of Appeal

The local courts and the members are still not up to the mark in delivering effective impartial decisions.

These is bad for those seeking justice.

Justice, especially civil matters can be very expensive.

I feel the Privy Council should be reinstated as the Highest Appeal Court.

The reason for doing away with the Privy Council was a political one.

A tinpot dictatorship where business and politics have an incestuous relationship, where basic civil liberties are not guaranteed in the Constitution, where the executive, judicial and legislative branches of government overlap one another, where one Familee could do whatever they please with no censure.

VTO lah, everything will return to normal. The balls of the Courts will grow in size.

If you don't VTO, reinstating PC and give you jury also no use. They will screen juries like they screen presidential candidates. Only RC members can become jury.

The people are united for a common cause - to see them out.

The political parties (too many in tiny Singapore) to be united for a common cause - to take the PAP one to one.

There will be impediments to success, namely,

The thousands of new citizens churned out annually at lavish citizenship granting parties presided by the same grassroots leaders. This people may be beholden to PAP for enabling their great grandparents, grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins and what not to come here to reside, get a PR and purchase a flat and not having their grown up kids to perform NS.

Yes, the Privy Council and Jury System must be re-introduced otherwise we would see many innocent people being convicted.

Singapore belongs to us and is NOT leased out to PAP on a 100 years leasehold.

Forget Privy Counsel! We r no longer a British colony. The other model we can consider is the European Court of Justice at The Hague but ASEAN is a million miles away from EU.
