China simply had a good stock market rally from 2014 and now the market is correcting because it is fueled by overspeculation.

Hardly what I would call a crisis.

The idiots as usual are grossly exaggerating. China will only face a crisis if the debt in its banking system because too large to handle.

there were 3 market corrections on the sci since september 2014 where the index took discernible dips, and in every of those corrections, the committee responsible for bank-lending interest rates decreased the borrowing rate hoping to arrest the dips and spur the index higher. well, in june 2015, the fall was too fast, too big and too sharp for the committee to address it with an interest rate cut. but it was all their doing to blow 3 successive bubbles to try to undo the 3 corrections prior. they should have let the market-driven corrections do their work, but instead they intervened too often and too soon. and they have the nerve to blame it on one single pro-china-bullish financial firm, morgan stanley for all the ills of this crisis based on the may downgrade. this time it's no correction but a crisis of confidence of both the chinese market and the gov.

For China the end of the Communist party is nigh — but in name only

China’s economic troubles and increasingly rigid ideological controls have led prominent China watchers to forecast the crack-up of its political system. I share the view that the Chinese Communist party may soon be extinct — but the extinction will be in name only.

In fact, the CCP is neither communist nor a party. Few Chinese believe it will abolish the market economy and lead the march to higher communism. It is “Leninist” in the sense that it is vertically organised and rules supreme over the state apparatus but it lacks other vital features, such as the idea that class conflict is the motor of history, a commitment to the idea of communism at home, and support for revolutionary overthrow of capitalist regimes abroad.

And the days of Leninist-style political mobilisation are long gone because the party must be sensitive to public opinion.

So here is my prediction. In 2035, the CCP will still be in power but it will not be called the CCP.
