KUALA LUMPUR: Police nabbed a 36-year-old man and seized 19 tonnes of white powder, believed to be ketamine, worth RM296 million from a house in Rawang.
Sentul police chief ACP R. Munusamy said the drugs believed to have been brought in from India was confiscated at Jalan Jambu in Taman Sri Delima at about 5pm on Thursday.
"We found two packets of drugs, each containing 5kg of white powder," he said, adding that he believed that the house is used to store drugs.
Munusamy said that the suspect then led police to a house at Jalan Aman Sierra in Rawang.
"In the house, police detained a 42-year-old businessman and seized a total of 726 gunny bags, each containing 25kg of white powder," he said.
The suspects have been remanded to facilitate investigations.
