At least 330 people have been injured in a fire at an amusement park outside Taiwan's capital, Taipei.
A spokesman for the fire service said it was believed coloured powder being sprayed on to a crowd had ignited.
More than 80 had serious injuries, the Taipei fire department said. Some victims suffered 40% burns according to CNA news agency.
The accident happened during a "colour play" party at Formosa Water Park in New Taipei City's Bali district.
The fire broke out around 20:30 local time (12:30 GMT), he said.
More than 1,000 people were near the stage when the blaze started.
The fire department said "our initial understanding is this explosion and fire... was caused by the powder spray. It could have been due to the heat of the lights on the stage".

A trolley was used to rush one young man with leg burns to an ambulance
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
One doctor said a number had respiratory system damage.

The fire was quickly brought under control.
One witness told local TV: "It started on the left side of the stage. At the beginning I thought it was part of the special effects of the party but then I realised there was something wrong and people started screaming and running."
Many people flocked to water parks on Saturday as temperatures reached 36.6C in Taipei and as high as 38C in other parts of Taiwan, the BBC's Cindy Sui reports from Taipei.
New Taipei City's mayor, Eric Chu, ordered an immediate shutdown of the water park pending an investigation.
Taiwan has suffered a series of deadly fires in the past couple of years due partly to poor enforcement of building and fire safety codes and illegal construction, our correspondent adds.
A fire earlier this year killed six firefighters, prompting orders to rectify illegally constructed buildings and upgrade firefighters' equipment and training.

well they are busy with rescue now.
they will find out which powder did they used. They are coloured.
concert organiser should go home and tape his home and burn charcoal.
when the blame hammer hit, he will go to prison for a long long time.

BEIJING -- The organizer of a party at a theme park in Taiwan at which 12 people were killed and hundreds injured by exploding powder was indicted Friday on charges including negligent homicide.

The indictment recommends a heavy sentence for Lu Chung-chi if convicted over the July 27 disaster at the Formosa Fun Coast park in a suburb of the island's capital, Taipei. The charges in the indictment also include causing injury and serious injury through professional negligence.

Lu was arrested soon after the incident at the "Color Play Asia" party and has apologized and accepted responsibility for his role in the deaths and injuries.

The starchy coloured powder was blasted into the crowd during a hot day and ignited by what investigators believe may have been a spark or cigarette. Its Taiwanese manufacturer said it had no knowledge of its intended use and said it posed a risk of igniting if densely applied at high temperature.

The park was ordered closed after the disaster and the island's premier banned the use of such powder at all future events.

The roughly 500 injured also included victims from Singapore, Hong Kong, mainland China and the U.S.

In recent years, "colour runs" and "colour parties" have grown popular in many countries, inspired by the use of such powder by revelers during the annual Holi celebrations in India and Nepal, a Hindu festival.
