Experts worry people aren't making lifestyle changes to avoid preventable cancers

Each day, 36 people in Singapore are told that they have cancer, marking a worrying rise in the country's top killer.

Cancer cases have jumped by about 17 per cent since 2010, despite certain cancers being preventable if people choose healthier lifestyles and drop bad habits.

The disease remains the top cause of death here, with around one in three dying of it now.

The biggest cancer is the MIW, those afflicted like the 60% die a very, slow & painful death.....it is now 50 years...some are already in the throes of pain...well into their twilight years..."repent, repent......the end is near".....

just better medical facilities and more early discovery

Unhealthy lifestyle is due to the promise of " a swiss standard of living"....those people promoting this, are the cause of the rise in Cancer in Singapore. Get rid of the cause, the cases will decline:rolleyes:

PAP don't really care about the health of Sporeans. What they care about is that Spore labour is cheap & productive.

Now that the old working units are old & worn out, they are being replaced by cheaper foreign models. Even the 60% are vulnerable.

it has all to do with the food we eat and the water we drink.
cancer does not happened overnight.
daily the body gets rid of million of cancer cells which Cannot be detected by medical test.
cancer can only be detected when they are in hundreds of millions or billons , by that
time it is already too late.
u have to ask why the body nature defence cannot get rid of those million of cancer cells in the first place.

Most Sinkie charbor dunno how to cook, and even if they cook they have poor culinary skills, and they cook with a scowl. :biggrin:

Besides, thanks to Lee Hsien Loong's grandiose plan to make this island a rich man's playground, cooking is usually far more expensive than eating at a hawker centre. The cost of groceries doesn't lie. Politicians lie. :wink:
