How to trust India doctors like that?

We can safely assume that any and everything coming out from that shit-hole country is fraudulent. When we start on this premise, we protect ourselves. But somehow, the sinkie govt lacks this wisdom. I avoid doing business with India at all cost.

Do business can avoid. Go see doctor can avoid? Go govt polyclinic and hospital C or B ward got no choice of doctors.

Free trade agreement with Ah Neh land means unlimited number of untrained 'doctors' can work in sinkapore.

Thank you, PAP, for killing sinkees.

Only stupid PAP sign FTA giving foreigners unlimited jobs with no obvious benefits for Singaporeans. So after giving all the plum banker, doctor, engineer, IT jobs to India Indians, how many billions of investments from India? Ten, twenty, one hundred billions?

Msia govt that is widely criticised - by so many people from within and outside their country - did a better job to attract billions into Iskandar without sacrificing a single local job signing FTA like that.

The PAP govt doesn't care about Singaporeans. By signing the FTA with India they can cut deals with India's Tata Group and create business opportunities for the GLCs. That's more important for them.

There is a report about an ah neh woman doctor who injected certain drug into the wrong part of a patient who subsequently died.
It is not known whether the death is linked to her injection.

How could a doctor be allowed to practise in the island who did not know where and how to do injection? This kind of serious negligence gives rise to grave concern. Next time, you are attended to by any ah neh doctor, say your prayer first to tell your God to save you from harm.

Yes, alot depends on luck nowadays. If suay suay meet one who cannot read or don't bother to read instructions on how to do injections, it is time to say goodbye.

Everything is fake about ah-nehs, except their body odor. No way to fake that and unfortunately no way to remove that as well.

Yeah everything fake, including using fake patients in medical college. The real patients in Singapore will suffer if meet with such India doctors.

-----
"That was the same month government inspectors visited the hospital, which is at Muzaffarnagar Medical College, 80 miles northeast of New Delhi. The inspectors checked, among other things, whether there were enough patients to provide students with adequate clinical experience. They determined there were.

But a year earlier, inspectors had found that most of the college hospital’s outpatients “were fake and dummy and seems to be hired from nearby slum area,” according to the official report. “In pediatric ward all children were admitted ... without any medical problem and were hired from nearby area!!!!!”

Angmo countries all must go for re-education before accepting them as doctors!

SG dun have one meh?

Looks like don't have - from the medical register and from post #17 on foreign dentist - apparently just temporary or conditional registration and the foreign doctor would be able to practice immediately with real patients!

Just need a fellow doctor supervisor to submit report is considered sufficient safeguard for patients? Sounds like OJT and mentor system to me. Not real further training of the India doctors like the angmoh countries, which is required for assessment of the qualification and skills of the India doctors.

Foreign dentists working illegally in Little India?

JUNE 18, 2015 BY ANDREW LOH IN MAIN STORY · 0 COMMENT
On Sunday (14 Jun), TRE reported that 4 foreign-graduate dentists on conditional registration in Singapore are doing dental work in Little India without any apparent supervision (‘Foreign-graduate dentists working illegally in SG?‘).

The 4 dentists are practising at a dental clinic at Kerbau Road called Little India Dentist (www.littleindiadentist.com.sg).

According to its website, Little India Dentist had a team of 4 dentists:

Dr Nivedita Seerpi, DDS (USA)
Dr Mansoor Walipoor, BDS (Adelaide)
Dr Yushmee Ramburrun, BDS (Bristol)
Dr Katy Kennedy, BDS (Dundee)
TRE did a screen capture of their webpage before publishing the article on Sunday (14 Jun), showing the 4 foreign-graduate dentists listed on their website:

Here’s another screen capture of their home page showing the link to their dentist information page. This was also captured on Sunday:

dentist2

Searching through the records of Singapore Dental Council [Link], the 4 foreign-graduate dentists are found to have only “Conditional Registration” status. That is to say, none of the dentists in Little India Dentist has full registration.

TRE also found that, except for Dr Nivedita Seerpi, none of the other 3 has registered their “Place of Practice” as Little India Dentist. The 3 have instead registered their place of practice elsewhere:

Dr Mansoor Walipoor – Nuffield Dental Kovan
Dr Yushmee Ramburrun – Nuffield Healthcare Private Limited
Dr Katy Kennedy – Q & M Dental Centre Pte Ltd
Under section 14A(4) of the Dental Registration Act, dentists under “conditional registration” need to be supervised by a “fully registered Division I dentist” working in the same practice for a specified period (at least 2 years). The supervisor must submit a supervisory report on the dentist to the Council every 6 months.

Also, the supervisor must [Link]:

be a fully registered Division I dentist and
have at least 5 years’ post-BDS experience and
work in the same clinic premises as his/her supervisee.
Since the website does not show any fully registered Division I dentists working at Little India Dentist, it is therefore assumed that the clinic does not have any fully registered Division I dentists to supervise the 4 conditionally registered dentists.

Today (16 Jun), TRE has discovered that Little India Dentist has quietly taken down the “Our Team” webpage with dentist information. The “Our Team” link has also been quietly removed from their home page:

dentist3

Clicking on www.littleindiadentist.com.sg/our_team.php now shows a 404 error – “The webpage cannot be found”.

Why did the clinic suddenly remove their dentist information page after TRE published its article on Sunday (14 Jun)?

This article was first published on TR Emeritus: “Little India Dentist quietly removes dentist info page“.

Read the report: “Foreign-graduate dentists working illegally in SG?“.

So these lawless people even want to bypass the minimal requirement of a superivsor?!

Well done and thank you Lee Hsien Loong.

There's no need to project too far back in time, but such a situation would be unheard of during Goh Chok Tong's PM days. PAP supporters, please take note. You can't put an imbecile in power simply because in him flows the blood of your beloved ah gong.

That time when I was scanning the medical register, the foreign doctors look like started coming in small number earliest around mid 2000s indeed, judging by their registration date. Not just LHL but Khaw BW was the health minister then. I remember Khaw was talking about cutting down number of local medical students at one time right? So on one hand cutting down medical students, on the other hand start hiring foreign doctors?

Negative. Bringing over their gang in their villages.

Not just bring in village people for jobs but young and old to occupy space and utilise public resources. Serve themselves well since the old will further add to the demand for India doctors.

The FTA is the worst policy in the last decade. It has huge demographic impact on important financial sector and residential dwellings.

With this damning report on the medical training system in India, MOH should clarify and opposition MPs should ask in parliament what safeguards MOH have put in place to ensure the India doctors hired in Spore are properly qualified and have the necessary skills.

This is imperative given the massive number of India doctors that govt is bringing into Spore. Today when you go to polyclinic or hospital C ward, the likelihood of being seen by India doctor is very high. And there comes a point when elderly retirees won't be able to afford expensive private medical care or insurance to pay for private wards and the quality of govt doctors is important to all Singaporeans.

And all these India doctors would eventually go into private sector (like those dentists in post #17) and eventually even paying expensive is no guarantee you can avoid the lousy doctors.

Yes but the medical profession is sacrosanct. It might be a matter of life and death.

A medical doctor is one of the professions with a high barrier to entry: only the best and brightest get enrolled in medical school, tuition fees are relatively higher, plenty of time invested in training etc. Such painstaking exclusivity ensures that only the best doctors are in practice, minimizing risks to the patients they treat.

And now, the PAP govt, out of its own wicked greed, allows these cheap foreign doctors to ply their trade here. This is nothing less than treason. It's not just a simple case of foreigners stealing jobs. Our very lives may be endangered when seeking medical treatment. What good are medical subsidies when you may die?

Yes you are right. Singaporeans should be very worried but no one seems to care. And talking about medical subsidy, we are still paying very high fee of $108 for A&E to see India doctor. In comparison, Msia govt medical subsidy is real as they pay only one or few Rm. So not just we are being subject to low quality doctors, we are made to pay high fees for them.
