The woman at the centre of a public daylight beach romp that caused global revulsion will have to register as a sex offender.
But the jury apparently took pity on the woman and accepted the prosecutions recommendation of ‘time served’ for lewd and lascivious exhibition charges.
Florida couple and Elissa Alvarez and Jose Caballero were arrested last year after several witnesses called police to report their daytime sex. Children were on the beach at the time of the incident and a three year-old witnessed their sandy lovemaking. A grandmother recorded the lovers tryst and gave the footage to authorities.

During the court case, the defence argued no witnesses actually saw genitalia or penetration and the video was unclear, the conclusion that they were having sex was pure speculation.
Alvarez originally argued she had in fact been “dancing” on Caballero to wake him up. The jury was unmoved by the explanation.
Her attorney, Greg Hagopian, told the Bradenton Herald she would have to live with the consequences of her actions for the rest of her life.
"She's been designated a sex offender so for the rest of her life, as it stands now, she has to report and be treated as a child molester,” he said.
“To say she has learned her lesson would be an understatement,” he added.
Caballero, who has a conviction for cocaine trafficking, will be sentenced July 4. Prosecutors have recommended jail time.
