Very sad for a country with so many holy buildings and so sacred a place.
But why such a massive disaster - not once but twice.

Any enlightened and wise forummers can give a good and reasonable explanation
why Nepal kena hit so jialat jialat twice.

The Indian and Eurasian tetonic plates okay...but why?

When will be the Big One - May 16???

The whole of Himalayan Range will burst in anger in protest against human intervention and
damages to its ecosystem...

Please share politely. Thank you.

That's the nature of earthquakes.

You get one big one and then a whole series of aftershocks of varying magnitudes.

Christchurch had a second one that was even bigger than the first one.

Esteemed sir,

I have to sadly admit that I do not know the answer to your question so I apologise profusely that I can offer no help.

Thank you.

Is this polite enough Sir?

I read somewhere people blamed the evil practices that rocked the mountains.

Is this true? Too much animals sacrifices and sacrileges.???

Maybe it is not holy and sacred after all.

But anyway places are not important.

Like the birthplace of Jesus also got fightings and death lingering.

I think the question that should be asked is why wasn't Nepal ready for the earthquakes? After the last major earthquake in 1988, not much has been done to quake-proof the country.

Because, unlike Singapore, which is a first world country thanks to the PAP, Nepal does not have the resources or funds.

Earthquake proofing buildings costs a huge amount of money.

In NZ, it has been estimated that the cost of earthquake proofing existing buildings works out to about $400 per sq metre.

Tourist dollars were flooding into the country.
Where have they gone.
The infrastructure was pathetic.
The buildings just crumbled like toys and sand castles.
Very sad...this heaven on earth has become a massive hell hole..
Unless they recovered quickly like Japan and China.
Otherwise Nepal will remain a forgotten haven....sad.

Sad that Darwinism is at work here.

That is what happens without the PAP in charge.

Christchurch got it because there are too many potheads in the country.
