[h=1]KTV hostess sent to hospital 'with no pulse' after downing 18 glasses of hard liquor[/h][h=2][/h]
SINGAPORE - A woman in her twenties passed out and was conveyed unconscious "with no pulse and no breathing" to Singapore General Hospital (SGH) early Tuesday morning after she consumed 18 glasses of hard liquor for a $900 tip.
According to evening daily Shin Min, a guest had offered the woman, who worked as a hostess at a KTV lounge near Clarke Quay, $50 for every glass of liquor she downed.
The woman reportedly passed out after downing 18 glasses and could not be woken up.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it received an alert about the incident at 1.33am on May 12 and an ambulance was sent to the location.
"The woman was unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. We administered CPR on site and en route to the hospital." said an SCDF spokesman.
The woman was transferred unconscious to the hospital.
