SINGAPORE - A woman suffering from Brain Aneurysm, or most commonly known as a clot in the brain, lies in a critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Ms Kawaljeet Kaur who requires multiple operations to survive this ordeal recently underwent one on May 3 "as a lifesaving measure", reported Stomp.

The foreign worker who hails from India, Punjab, is said to be working in Singapore to support her brother in school and her bedridden father.

Her case was first highlighted by Mr Kurade Bhagwant in an email to online citizen journalism website Stomp. It is unclear what Mr Bhagwant's relation to Ms Kaur is.

Mr Bhagwant said in his email that Ms Kaur's insurance coverage under the Foreign Domestic Worker's plan is only limited to $15,000 but total hospitalisation fees are estimated to cost between $50,000 to $100,000.
He is appealing to members of the public to donate to ensure Ms Kaur receives the best treatment. Mr Bhagwant added that he and his associates have approached a number of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and social service units but were unable to secure any financial assistance so far.

He said: "We are a small group and as you can see we are working on multiple fronts. We try our best to respond to as many calls and messages possible, but at times it is difficult. We sincerely apologise if we are unable to take your call or responded to your message."

For clarification and other matters, call : +65 9130 2946

A Facebook page has been set up to highlight Ms Kaur's condition as well as to appeal for funds.

All maids here are required to buy medical insurance...that would have covered her stay in hospital, unless the 'chow quan' Indian employer did not do so....

Please do not donate. She will be taken care off. Leave it to the employer to pay. If not, the hospital will sue the employer which anyway is likely to be a FT.

Amos need our help more than this foreigner. It might be good for Mr Kurade Bhagwant to camp outside Istana to seek an audience with the Clown Prince to plead for some foreign aid which are disbursed out quite freely. Good luck!

Foreigner? Sorry, not interested.

Anyway, it is most likely that she will die.

Remember that Irish woman who was in a coma and about $10k was raised for her? She died. There was no refund... guess where the money had gone to?

Most importantly is humans need to know when their time is up and accept their fate n let nature takes its couse. Death is part of life. Deal with it. The sooner they realise and accept it the better. Tat way they wont fall victims too medical companies n their expensive bs treatments. More articles will promote more apathy. N soon all these raise funds crap will fail big time.

Just dump her corpse inside the mortuary ASAP.

If all the world's ailed came here to filled up our hospital beds and then still ask for our donations to pay for their lives, we will DIE even faster then now.

KNNCCB!

All bastards exploiting Singaporean kindness and STUPIDITY.
