My friend does business in China. Whenever he is there he has absolutely no problem updating facebook, tweeting, accessing porn etc via VPN. If the ISPs block a port the VPN provider will reconfigure a new port for him within 5 minutes.
If he can do it then any Chink that wants to do the same will be able to do it too. The urban chinks are far more tech savvy than the average Singaporean. They know all the tricks including how to prevent authorities from tracking them via their mobile phones.
I also have a friend who does missionary work there but the messages they preach are not state authorised so they have to go about it covertly. Their understanding of the internet and cellular technology is top notch. The guy educated me about techy stuff that astounded me.
Make it short and simple.
