Mr Darshan has been retired for a while, soon after he blabbed to the Australian press about how he would hang Nguyen Van Tuong. He wasn't call upon for that particular hanging.

Drug traffickers peddle death. They spare no thought whatsoever for their victims and their families. They deserve to die in the most horrible manner possible.

What about tabacco company , that cause millions of people die every year ?
There is no evidence that the death penalty acts as a deterrent .

Tobacco smoking is not illegal. Drugs are and the penalties are clearly spelt out.

The death penalty is punishment. The deterrent factor varies from person to person.

You mean anything that is harmful to you but it's legal means it's ok ? There's a lot of ways to punish people , death penalty does not only punish those who break the law it's also did not give human a second chance to repent .

The execution of a Filipina drug convict by an Indonesian firing squad was delayed at the last minute after one of her recruiters surrendered to police in the Philippines.

The attorney general's office confirmed that the execution of Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso, the only female convict in the 'Bali Nine', had been postponed.

The execution of Mary Jane (Veloso) has been postponed because there was a request from the Philippine president related to a perpetrator suspected of human trafficking who surrendered herself in the Philippines. Mary Jane has been asked to testify.

Activists who held an overnight vigil outside the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines cheered with joy after learning that the execution of a Filipina death row prisoner had been delayed at the eleventh hour.

A spokesperson for the Attorney General in Indonesia confirmed that the execution of Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso, a mother of two who was arrested in 2010 after she arrived in Indonesia with 2.6 kg of heroin hidden in her suitcase, had been postponed.

The Philippine president had informed Indonesia that a person suspected of recruiting Veloso had surrendered to police, the spokesman added.

whether death penalty is right or wrong is beside the point. Since Indonesia law clearly stated it death penalty for drug trafficking, then other countries should respect Indonesia's Laws. If the drug peddlers scare to die, then they should just peddle the drugs in Australia or new Zealand since there no death penalty there. If any foreigners think they can commit crime without worries as they home countries can suka suka intervene, then might as well have no law.
