What started as a rant about her family’s living conditions has became viral as people shared her video depicting every homeowner’s nightmare.
Facebook user Nur'Ashikin Fazlan Zainol posted a clip of cockroaches swarming onto a HDB corridor on Monday (27 April) afternoon, ranting that her family has had enough of the unhealthy living environment.
The video has since been viewed over 200,000 times and shared close to 4,500 times.
In the comments thread, she shared that the source of the cockroaches at her Block 19 Eunos Crescent home was her neighbour’s house, which she described as “worse than karang guni”.
After her post gained some traction, she continued to share that her family had been dealing with the situation for a long time but they cannot “tahan” (stand it) anymore.
She wrote: “My mom was a cancer patient, all of us are trying very hard to keep the place clean. We have 2 growing children.. 14 and 2.5yrs.. Its a very unhealthy environment..
“Just last night a roach nearly climbed into my son’s ear when he was about to sleep. And we found a few baby roaches around my baby girls’ toy box..”
She added that the stench coming out of the neighbour’s house is unbearable and all kinds of insects comes out of there.
