Boy, 14, faces UK court over alleged Melbourne Anzac Day parade terror attack

A 14-year-old boy has been refused bail in a British court after appearing on charges of inciting a terror attack on police at a Melbourne Anzac Day parade.
The boy, from Blackburn in England's north, allegedly contacted another person in Melbourne, encouraging them to behead their targets, or drive a car into them.
He also advised them to "practise" the beheading on a separate, unrelated target.
He appeared at Westminster Youth Court on Friday in London, wearing a light grey jumper. His expression was calm but he repeatedly bit his nails and looked around the court curiously.
He spoke quietly to confirm his name and address.
District judge Emma Arbuthnot refused bail despite argument from the boy's legal representative Daniel King.
She said she was not satisfied that supervision with conditional bail would satisfy her duty to protect the public.
The boy was remanded in custody to reappear at the Old Bailey on Friday afternoon local time.
