Is she oso going to that elite French cooking class that is so popular with our civil service perm secs?? Maybe she has also very able staff and subordinates that allows her to go for long leave without any impact to the organization !

This shows that she is a cho-bo-lan,an extra, a ca-la-fei.She can jolly well go for permanent leave,no need to come back.Makes no difference who sit there.Any Tom,Dick or Ah Meng also can.

if thats the case, did the board ever consider if Temasek really needs her?

Steve Jobs was away for months at a time while he was being treated for his cancer but this did not stop Apple from reaching heights that it had never scaled before under his guidance.

Great leaders do not need to bother with the nitty, gritty day to day running of an organisation. Their job is to point their subordinates in the right direction and then take a step back.

Like Steve Jobs, Ho Ching is an extraordinary talent. She has laid the groundwork for the next three months and left her troops to execute her vision. She does not need to be around physically. All she needs to do is make her presence felt periodically. She can do that with a few phone calls to keep everyone on their toes.

Yeah why stop at 3 months? Temasek needs her only to be the ceremonial figurehead. There is no shortage of talented people out there. :rolleyes:

U notice whenever he talks he never give a definitive point, it's always perhaps this or that, maybe this or that ...etc. So if things happen, he can always say he cover both bases!! This kind of people cannot be trusted as u don't know where they stand on things... They just bend according to where the wind blows!

I feel very assured by Eugene's affirmation that Temasek is staffed with excellent people with extraordinary talents. I can now sleep soundly knowing that my CPF money is well taken care of. Fuck Roy Ngerng for spreading lies and bullshitting the people.
