I have a different thinking about the parents for not bailing out Amos.

I think the parents know him so well that even if he is out on bail and stays at home all day, he will still flout the court's bail conditions. And precisely because they knew that he could not manage the bail conditions , they refused to bail him out and rather have him in remand.

It is not for fear of revenge or retribution from PAP supporters. It is for fear that their son Amos may create more troubles for himself even as he is under bail.
