S'pore teacher jailed a year for indecent acts with student, 12


A primary school teacher, 37, was today jailed a year for committing indecent acts on his student, 12.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the girl's identity, pleaded guilty to three counts of committing indecent acts on the child.

In April 2013, the pair would meet in their school's indoor sports hall where he hugged, kissed and French kissed the girl.

The offences came to light when her father caught her sending text messages to the teacher on her mobile phone.

He informed the school principal on April 18 that year.
