This shows that Ah Gong is well respected throughout the world, unlike third world despots. How many foreign leaders paid respects when Kim or Idi Amin died? How many more will pay respects to Mugabe when he goes?

Er, First World despots like old fart get a little more respect than Third World despots because they line the pockets of more powerful men and corporations. Nothing to be proud of.

PAP lose face, the list is not impressive at all, only a few foreign leaders coming. In the list no European leader coming, no South American leader coming, no Obama, no Xi Jinping.

the list is actually very extensive, and it shows the close rapport and relationship (not always rosy) ky had with regional neighbors, japan, the west (especially anglo-saxon nations once linked to the british empire), israel, and taiwan. the prc came into ky's orbit of influence and interest when deng was in charge, and the inevitability of china's rise to global power cannot be ignored, just like what kissinger has predicted in the early 70s. commie as she is, if she opens up like a whore and turns toward capitalism, she may self-indulge in her materialism and be pre-occupied with grandiose motivation with the west model of consumerism, and act as a counter-balance to soviet global ambitions. that russia is now a "democracy" is simply a myth. russia has always been as soviet as she had been during the cold war. the psyche of soviet expanse and power has etched itself in every russian dna, and a strong calculated leader is all she needs to maintain superpower status. ky shared similar views with kissinger on the new world order as he was the new world order's spear point in south east asia. long before bush came up with his version of the "new world order". this so called neo-con world view is not new. it is paleo-con with a lot of con and con you in it. it explains the list of dignitaries and personages attending his memorial. regional dignitaries are there because of asean protocols and neighborly ties, not because they are roped to join the secretive new world order. uae is there because of economic ties and the model of modern sg that the emirates emulate. ky's presence and influence in s.e.a. as an agent and promoter for the anglo-saxon-jap-jew world order were so strong that lesser mortals in the region were manipulated unknowingly to fall into orbit, except for the mad hatter.

It just shows how Old Fart is good at sucking up. Suck up sufficiently and don't go on head on collision with the West all the time, the West will cut you some slack.

Pay attention on who is not coming ...that's more important - UK PM doesn't even bother to come. Even China's leader doesn't even bother despite of Old Fart spending so much of his life sucking up to the Ah Tiongs.
