DATELINE: Washington, March 26 2015

Former president Bill Clinton will lead a delegation from the United States to the state funeral of Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore's founding leader who died at age 91 on Monday.
Henry Kissinger, a former US secretary of state, will also be in the party sent by President Barack Obama, a White House statement said Wednesday.
Lee, who oversaw the city-state's transformation from a poor British colonial outpost into one of the world's richest societies, will be cremated on Sunday after a state funeral expected to be attended by several Asia-Pacific leaders and other world figures.

You think he like petty lky?
Knn he no tulan lau lee stole his limelight by dying a day early

It's thanks to Ah Gong's leadership that Singapore grew from a fishing village to a metropolis within a single generation. And Johor, being our neighbour, was lucky to enjoy the spillover effects and grew more prosperous. If not for Ah Gong, the mudboy would be a sultan of a shithole today, instead of a prosperous johor.

President Reuven Rivlin left for Singapore Wednesday night to attend the funeral of Lee Kuan Yew, Asia’s great statesman and the founding long-term prime minister of the island state, after tasking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with forming Israel’s 34th government.

The funeral will take place on Sunday, March 29. "I am leaving with a feeling of great respect for the people of Singapore," Rivlin said upon his departure. "I am going to represent the State of Israel and its people not only to offer condolences but to express our utmost appreciation of an important and valued leader."
