Previously you just had to copy the embed link from youtube and paste it here and that's it it will embed. This doesn't work now.

So now you think you just click on the insert video link and then post the video link in there to embed the video.

Oh no that doesn't work either. Video is not embedded on the forum but shows up as a link like this

[video]https://youtu.be/bsPQo6OXJAg[/video]

See it's a link.

The proper way to do it is more complicated but i don't know why the fuck they even have an insert video link at all when it doesn't work. It's like this

[video=youtube;insert the youtube video's specific url link only which in the video i linked would be "bsPQo6OXJAg" without the parenthesis ]"Then
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsPQo6OXJAg[/video]

see how much more complicated it has become and no announcement of this has been made.

Nothing changed as far as the forum is concerned. However youtube changed their urls to https. It used to be http.

Remove the "s" and the video will embed instead of the link.

Also one interesting to note is that the minute you remove the s and embed it and check on it the post also changes it's no more

I didn't know myself until I investigated.

There's no point informing. What I will try to do is to figure out how to get vbulletin to parse https the same way it parses http

I see well it certainly is pretty straightforward now. Remember to remove the "s" from the https link before you try to embed it if not it will just show up as a link on this forum.

By the way what took u so long to know that removing the s for it to work? Tinker is the key.
