Chitchat Drinking Lots Of Plain Water

We all know the benefits of drinking plain water - prevents dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, quenches your thirst, clears your system, etc etc.

We also know the disbenefits of drinking too much water - bloated stomach, cramps, pang jio too often, piss in the pants (for certain forummers ), etc etc.

Just wondering whether there are any health benefits in drinking lots of water. Since sugar and salt are supposed to be dissolved in water, will drinking water actually help us to dissolve more of these unhealthy salt and sugar before they enter the bloodstream? So that more sugar and salt can be discharged in the urine instead of being absorbed into the body? Or even discharged from the body in the form of watery shit?

Hope those who have knowledge about this can comment. Those who want to talk piss and shit can also contribute. Lol. :p

Can you drink too much water?

Short answer: Yes

It is very rare for someone to die from drinking too much water, but it can happen.

Overhydrating is most common among elite athletes. Drinking an excess of water, called water intoxication, dilutes the concentration of sodium in the blood leading to a condition known as hyponatremia.

The symptoms of hyponatremia can range from nausea and confusion to seizures and even death in severe cases.

To avoid this, drink fluids with electrolytes during extreme exercise events.

I think the basic general guideline is six glasses of water a day.
of course, with the hot and humid weather, and especially if you are playing outdoor sports,
You have to drink extra.
most important, dont get dehydrated.

Will drinking lots of water, like you said allow one to die quicker when the time comes, without a need for an AMD and to avoid being put on a mechanical ventilator for over 40 days before, one can go? LoL

Drinking is healthy to help the body flush the haze from the body. Unfortunately our water contains fluoride & chlorine. It will be a better idea to get a water purifier system or get some untreated water from the supermarket.

(i) People should drink at least 1.5 litres of plain water daily; more if exercising. I personally drink 2.5 to 3 depending on the weather and exercise routine.

(ii) Too much of anything is bad, even lethal. Water poisoning is very real. It happens when you ingest several litres of water over a short period, like say two hours: http://articles.latimes.com/2007/jan/14/local/me-water14

(iii) Drink two glasses of lukewarm water when you get up every morning. Some people add a dash of lemon. Mega health benefits - you feel more energetic, refreshed, better bowel movement, the system feels cleared.

(iv) Good water intake prevents kidney trouble. Very important for those with active sex lives. http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/KUDiseases/pubs/kidneystonediet/

I drink a litre of juice every morning that includes - 1 green and 1 red apple, some small potatoes, 1 beet root, 1 carrot, 1 navel orange, 1 lemon, a bunch of kale, 1 bell pepper, some grapes, 3 bitter leaves (lower high blood) this formula is fixed. Wakes you up.

In my shallow understanding of the human body, homeostasis takes care of everything :smile::smile:
Too much of anything, your body regulates it for you :p:p:p
